About the Role
We are looking for a talented Segment Marketing Manager - Tertiary to join our Marketing Team who will be responsible for driving successful product launches and ensuring market penetration, to support revenue growth for OUP in the assigned segment. He/she will also be responsible for collaborating with cross-functional teams to execute seamless go-to-market (GTM) plans.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Strategic Segment Alignment:
- Work closely with the Segment Manager to understand overall segment goals and strategies.
- Align GTM plans with segment objectives, ensuring consistency across all initiatives.
- Work closely with Country Marketing Leads to ensure alignment of GTM plans to country marketing plans.
2. Product Launch Strategy:
- Collaborate with the Segment Manager to develop comprehensive go-to-market plans for new products, features or services.
- Devise, implement and track retargeting programs to revitalise old/existing products or features.
- Define target audiences, messaging, and positioning in line with segment priorities.
3. Market Research and Insights:
- Leverage insights provided by or develop with the Segment Manager or Global Research team to understand market dynamics, customer needs, and competitive landscapes.
- Segment the market effectively based on segment-specific criteria.
4. Business Enablement:
- Equip promotional teams with the necessary tools, training, and collateral to effectively promote segment products.
- Collaborate with promotional teams to support OUP UK to achieve revenue targets set by the Segment Manager.
5. Launch Execution and Performance Metrics:
- Coordinate product launches/relaunches across various channels, ensuring seamless execution.
- Monitor launch performance metrics (e.g., adoption rates, customer feedback) and provide timely insights to the Segment Manager.
6. Cross-Functional Collaboration:
- Work closely with product management, marketing, design, and customer support teams.
- Foster collaboration to achieve segment growth and market success.
7. Customer-Centric Approach:
- Gather feedback from early adopters and customers during product launches.
- Use customer insights to refine messaging and iterate on GTM strategies.
About You
Essential:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field.
- 5 or more years of experience in product marketing, GTM strategy, or related roles.
- Strong Analytical Skills: Ability to interpret data and make informed decisions.
- Excellent Communication: Clear and concise communication across teams and stakeholders.
- Project Management: Organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously
