About the Role

The Content Delivery Team Leader is responsible for supervising Outsourced Service Leads and Production Controllers to manage supplier services for ELT build production. The role supports Delivery Team Managers, Delivery Project Managers, and ELT Product squads to ensure digital products are delivered on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards. This position also involves managing fair and efficient work allocation, fostering a positive team environment, and supporting team development and engagement with third-party suppliers.

 

Key Accountabilities

  1. Team Management:
    Lead and support a team of Content Delivery staff responsible for delivery, purchase order creation, and supplier support.

  2. Work Allocation & Monitoring:
    Develop and manage a fair and efficient system for assigning projects and monitoring progress. Set clear goals, assess capacity, and ensure deadlines are met.

  3. Training & Development:
    Identify training needs, complete skills matrices, and provide coaching to help team members grow and prepare for future opportunities.

  4. Stakeholder Engagement:
    Represent the team in meetings with senior leadership, provide feedback, suggest improvements, and resolve conflicts.

  5. Workflow Oversight:
    Ensure efficient processes, accurate work, and effective use of systems. Support escalations to technical teams when needed.

  6. Recruitment & Performance Management:
    Participate in hiring, onboarding, performance reviews, and disciplinary actions. Ensure new team members are effectively integrated.

  7. Process Improvement:
    Support and encourage participation in systems and process improvement initiatives that impact the team’s work.

 

Skills, Knowledge, and Experience

Essential:

  • Fluency in written and spoken English
  • Experience leading a team or coaching/training others
  • Excellent organizational, project management, and time management skills
  • Effective communication across diverse contexts
  • Experience with contracts and third-party content creation suppliers

Desirable:

  • Knowledge of cross-format publishing, ELL, or educational publishing
  • Experience in process improvement or change management
