Opportunity – the ‘what’

In this role, you will:

  • Develop and edit content for the OUPblog, including approving pitches, copyediting, and managing tasks in ClickUp.
  • Manage day-to-day operations of OUPblog and social media accounts, including organic posts and advertising.
  • Contribute to refining content and social strategies, ensuring wide dissemination and engagement.
  • Collaborate with tower marketers to deliver standard and rapid-response social content and monitor social channels for customer service or reputational issues.
  • Work with the Paid Social Manager on advertising campaigns, focusing on promoted posts.
  • Support reporting and analysis of marketing campaigns, making data-driven recommendations for improvement.

Your work will directly impact OUP’s ability to engage audiences effectively, strengthen brand presence, and optimize marketing processes across academic markets.


About You

Essential Criteria

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
  • Self-starter with the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
  • Highly detail-oriented.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
  • Experience communicating with diverse stakeholders.
  • Editorial experience.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

Desirable Criteria

  • Familiarity with AI tools for content workflows (can be trained on the job).
  • Knowledge of social media management platforms like Sprinklr.
