Opportunity – the ‘what’
On a day-to-day basis, you will:
- Administer and record the distribution of gratis and incentive marketing copies.
- Maintain and enhance publicly accessible OUP product information in marketing databases.
- Ensure timely supply of sales collateral such as sales sheets and catalogues.
- Support co-operative marketing initiatives and manage related budgets.
- Handle communications with current and prospective authors, including triaging emails and providing templated responses.
- Provide general administrative support for new tasks centralized within Marketing Operations.
Your contribution will ensure accurate product representation, smooth marketing operations, and effective collaboration across teams—helping OUP maintain its reputation for excellence.
About You
Essential Criteria
- Approachable, collaborative, and a strong team player.
- IT literate with intermediate skills, ideally advanced Excel capability.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to manage time effectively and adapt to changing priorities.
- Educated to A level/BTEC standard or CIM Level 3 qualification or higher.
- At least 6 months of experience in a professional work environment, preferably in an office setting.
- Previous experience in customer service roles.
Desirable Criteria
- Familiarity with marketing processes and tools.
- Experience in publishing or academic marketing environments.
