Opportunity –
In this role, you will:
- Lead the editorial development of English language learning materials for a defined portfolio.
- Manage end-to-end editorial processes, ensuring content quality, curriculum alignment, and pedagogical soundness across print and digital formats.
- Translate market insights and academic trends into innovative, learner-centric content solutions.
- Support the creation of differentiated offerings for various school segments (affordable to premium).
- Integrate 21st-century skills, Diversity, Equity & Inclusion (DEI) principles, and NEP 2020/NCF 2023 guidelines into editorial planning.
- Lead and mentor a team of editors and freelancers, managing schedules, budgets, and cross-functional workflows.
- Collaborate with Product, Sales, and Marketing teams to align editorial strategy with business goals.
- Engage with authors, consultants, and academic experts to enrich content and ensure relevance.
- Represent the editorial team in internal planning meetings and external academic interactions.
- Create and deliver product presentations for internal and external stakeholders.
- Take ownership of a defined portfolio, driving growth through new launches, revisions, and regional adaptations.
- Monitor product performance and refine positioning in collaboration with cross-functional teams.
About You
Essential Criteria
- Master’s degree in English, Education, Linguistics, or a related field.
- 8–10 years of editorial experience in K–12 English publishing.
- Proven leadership in managing editorial projects and teams.
- Strong understanding of CBSE, ICSE, and State Board curricula.
- Experience in developing both print and digital learning materials.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and organizational skills.
Desirable Criteria
- Familiarity with editorial tools and digital content workflows (e.g., InDesign, XML, CMS).
