Opportunity –
In this role, you will:
- Lead the end-to-end editorial process for complex and high-impact educational products.
- Develop and deliver content that meets pedagogical goals, market needs, and brand standards.
- Collaborate with product and marketing teams to shape the English content roadmap.
- Create, review, and approve content plans, storyboards, and final outputs across print and digital formats.
- Ensure editorial quality, age-appropriateness, and curriculum alignment.
- Mentor Associate Editors and freelance contributors, providing feedback and training.
- Drive innovation in digital content formats such as interactive modules, gamified learning, and multimedia storytelling.
- Liaise with authors, subject matter experts, designers, and technology partners to ensure cohesive and engaging content.
- Monitor project budgets, timelines, and resources to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery.
- Conduct market and curriculum research to inform content development and product positioning.
- Represent the editorial team in cross-functional meetings and contribute to strategic planning and product launches.
Your work will directly influence the quality, relevance, and success of OUP’s English learning products.
About You
Essential Criteria
- Postgraduate degree in English, Education, or a related field.
- Proven experience in educational publishing, especially in English language learning.
- Strong understanding of pedagogy, curriculum frameworks, and learner needs.
- Exceptional command of English with strong editorial judgment and attention to detail.
- Proficiency in digital content development tools (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite, Articulate, Microsoft Office 360, Google Docs/Sheets).
- Excellent project management, organizational, and communication skills.
- Ability to balance creativity with analytical thinking and market awareness.
Desirable Criteria
- Diploma in Publishing or EdTech certification.
