About the Role

The Delivery Engineer is responsible for enabling the receipt, validation, and delivery of datasets to partners, internal teams, and customers across Oxford Languages. This includes working with Strategic Sourcing and Customer Success teams to manage data from external vendors, ensuring quality, and repackaging content for delivery across the product portfolio. The role involves using data pipeline processes, diagnosing and correcting data defects, and proposing process improvements. It also requires technical skills to integrate and configure applications that support Oxford Languages data projects.

Key Accountabilities

• Receive, validate, package, and upload external content for customer delivery.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to assess data needs and deliver internal datasets.
• Evaluate the quality of data from external partners and advise Strategic Sourcing.
• Execute quality control processes and validate data exports, transformations, and imports.
• Investigate and resolve data pipeline errors.
• Work with project, product, and technical managers to deliver data projects.
• Suggest and implement improvements to QA/QC processes.
• Operate data transformation pipelines and manage data exports/uploads.
• Share technical knowledge through documentation and presentations.
• Stay updated on tools, trends, and best practices.

Skills, Knowledge, and Experience

Essential:

• Experience with structured data in XML and/or JSON.
• Proven ability to deliver multiple data products on schedule.
• Experience in data quality control and using data manipulation tools.
• Familiarity with data transformation and validation pipelines.
• Ability to identify and implement process improvements.

Desirable:

• Experience with automated test methodologies and frameworks.
• Maintenance of data transformation pipelines.
• Programming skills (Python or similar).
• Experience with dictionary editorial systems.
