About the Role

Introduction

Delivery of high quality, timely and accurate maintenance of data across a variety of systems, procedures and datasets, plus manage the creation and maintenance of core Data Record Operations reporting, to ensure the success of global end-to-end processes.

 

Key Accountabilities

  • Manage the creation and maintenance of all Data Record Operations reporting and management intelligence materials
  • Engage with the Data Record Operations team to identify actions from KPI and SLA reporting, then track the progress/impact of actions against future KPI and SLA measurement
  • Assist with the administration of reporting data, processes and system(s) to ensure we provide comprehensive metrics to stakeholders
  • Co-ordinate, update and maintain product and/or party data with focus on creating and
  • maintained high quality, timely and accurate data records to support core business processes
  • Work across multiple OUP systems, including Oxford Publish, SAP, STAR, Filemaker, Stibo and Core Source to monitor, create and update data to a high level of quality and pre-set standards
  • Engage with data users to ensure timely and accurate supply of required metadata, ensuring that
  • internal standards are adhered to at all times, to support downstream process and business requirements
  • Prioritise workload effectively to ensure tasks are completed in a sensible order and that every possible effort is made to adhere to Service Level Agreements (SLAs)
  • Recommend and implement procedure changes which encourage efficiencies, simplify our work and improve or standardise overall processes
  • Create and maintain accurate group documentation, including instruction manuals and training materials

 

About You

 

  • Demonstrable experience of creating and updating reports and management intelligence information
  • High levels of engagement skills across a large and diverse sets of stakeholders
  • Proven experience working with databases and data and/or qualifications in a related field
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement and management skills, demonstrated within a fast-paced environment, with diverse stakeholder groups
  • Good organizational skills, an ability to manage time well in a busy environment and work as part of a team
  • Highly detail orientated individual with an aptitude for learning complex procedures and systems quickly, then repeating them accurately from memory
  • Proactive attitude, with an ability to work unsupervised for the majority of time
  • Intermediate IT skills, including Word, Excel, and ideally experience working with a database
  • Understands the impact good/bad data quality can have across systems and processes
  • Ability to consult with stakeholders effectively and communicate technical information, to potentially non-technical audiences
  • Excellent document creation skills, including the development of process documentation to high levels of detail and accuracy
  • Proven ability to work independently and proactively across a varied set of tasks and activities
  • Confidence to challenge or question data accuracy, integrity and quality with stakeholders and ensure we manage data to an exceptionally high level
  • Great communication skills and able to set a tone of authority whilst maintaining excellent stakeholder relationships
  • Keen to learn and expand knowledge of data, systems and processes
  • Good written and verbal communication skills, with a keen eye for detail
  • Knowledge of or experience working within the publishing industry
  • Knowledge of bibliographic data and/or data standards e.g. ONIX, Thema
  • Experience using query and issue management tools e.g. Service Now
