About the Role
The Area Manager, Sales is responsible for overseeing and driving sales initiatives within the designated territory. This role involves planning and executing strategies to achieve sales targets and expand the customer base.
Key Accountabilities
- Lead sales efforts to achieve and exceed targets.
- Develop and implement strategic plans to penetrate new markets.
- Maintain and grow existing market share.
- Promote educational products and resources to schools.
- Provide after-sales support and conduct workshops for user schools.
- Present and pitch products to school teachers, coordinators, principals, and management.
- Manage key accounts and ensure timely collection of payments.
- Sell library resources and reading products to school libraries.
- Drive growth in blended and digital product spaces.
- Conduct and plan product demonstrations.
- Update customer sales and competition data regularly.
- Plan and conduct customer acquisition events and trainings.
- Develop and execute strategies to strengthen the brand image in the region.
Skills, Knowledge, and Experience
- Minimum 6 years of experience in a relevant industry.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Willingness to travel.
- Market and geographical knowledge of the assigned territory.
- Solution-centric sales skills with exposure to digital.
- An understanding and appreciation of the school education business is a plus. Open to candidates from other industries who can showcase relevant skills.
