Accounting Manager

About the Role
Responsible for managing the company’s end‑to‑end financial accounting operations—including A/R, A/P, general ledger, cash flow, month‑end closing, author royalty accounting, and staff expense reimbursement, while ensuring accuracy, compliance with group accounting policies, and strong internal controls.

The position also prepares financial reports and analyses for management and group consolidation, oversees junior staff in daily activities, supports process and system improvements, coordinates with auditors, and contributes to tax computations, credit control, and ad‑hoc corporate initiatives.


Key Responsibilities

  • Responsible for financial accounting of the company, Fixed Assets, A/R, A/P and GL functions in particular
  • Managing service income billing, digital sales and revenue recognition
  • Responsible for author royalty accrual and payment
  • Responsible for staff expense claim process and reimbursement
  • Responsible for cash flow management and monthly forecast
  • Responsible for accounting close routines for month end
  • Prepare monthly accounts of subsidiary for group consolidation
  • Prepare reconciliation and analyze key account balances and transactions
  • Regularly review the accounting processes for internal control compliance, risk assessment and process improvement
  • Co-ordinate with team members and support the initiatives for workflow and process improvement; and system enhancement
  • Ensure compliance for group accounting policies and liaise with auditors for statutory audit and internal audit
  • Profit tax computation for HK and Macau: monthly accrual, annual filing working schedules and other ad hoc analysis supporting schedules including CbCR
  • Team Management
  • Ad-hoc projects as directed by supervisor         

 

About You

Essential

  • University graduate major in Finance or Accounting
  • HKICPA or ACCA qualified or equivalent
  • 10 years solid commercial experience
  • Flexible, highly organized, able to work independently under pressure and meet tight deadlines
  • Computer proficiency with advanced MS Excel skill
  • Fluent English and Mandarin

 

Desirable

  • With audit experience an advantage
  • Practical experience in SAP, FICO preferred
