Learning Designer: Primary Mathematics (12-month contract)

About the Role
We are looking for a talented Learning Designer: Primary Mathematics to join our Product Team and be responsible for commissioning and developing a range of innovative, market-leading products and services for use in Primary schools around Australia that align with business strategy and support sales and growth targets.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct relevant market research and competitor analysis that lead to the development and delivery of products and services that address customer needs and deliver measurable improvements in teaching and learning in Primary Mathematics.
- Prepare clear, relevant and reliable briefing documents for authors and external suppliers and partners.
- Develop educational content aligned to market needs, curriculum requirements, best-practice learning design principles, and quality standards.
- Deliver projects in line with approved schedules, budgets, sales forecasts, and revenue targets.
- Attend and actively contribute to publishing and cross-functional team strategy and planning meetings and workshops.
- Attract, manage and maintain excellent relationships with key authors, reviewers, consultants and other suppliers.
- Foster excellent working relationships with colleagues in Publishing, Digital Product Management, Editorial, Operations, Administration and Finance.
About You
Essential:
- Degree/postgraduate qualification
- Knowledge of the Australian education market, including understanding of the use/application of digital technologies to enhance product design and improve learning experiences and outcomes
- High proficiency in MS Office (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Adobe Creative Suite)
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Excellent project management skills, organisational skills and an ability to prioritise work and meet deadlines
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Desirable:
- Degree/postgraduate qualification in Primary Education, Mathematics or equivalent industry experience
- Qualification in Publishing and Editing and/or Learning Design
- Experience in learning design with emphasis on digital learning solutions that address customer needs improve teaching and learning outcomes
