Digital Product Lead

About the Role
We are looking for a talented Digital Product Lead to join our Digital Product Management Team who will own the Oxford Digital New Zealand platform and user experience. We aim to increase educator and learner user engagement and user satisfaction by developing digital product features and functionality that will help enhance teaching and learning experiences to support achievement of education outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
• Digital product ownership: Creates the product vision formed by understanding the needs of target users, ensuring the digital product is fit for purpose.
• Digital product roadmap and backlog prioritisation: Manages the product backlog, creates user stories and acceptance criteria, including strategic integrations.
• Market research: Understands local technology implementation and MoE governance, use and competitor capability.
• Collaboration: With third party developers and product teams.
• Data analytics: Reporting and analysis of platform performance and usage to inform future developments.
About You
Essential:
• Proven success in education digital product and platform development and lifecycle management
• Demonstrable digital and technology knowledge and skills for product and platform development
• Knowledge of the New Zealand education market, including understanding of the use/application of digital technologies to enhance product design and improve learning experiences and outcomes
• Knowledge of WCAG2.1 guidelines and implementation on digital products
Desirable:
• Knowledge of Agile methodology and tools – JIRA, Confluence
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Excellent organisational skills and an ability to prioritise work and meet deadlines
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Strong project management skills
