Opportunity –
As the Senior Area Manager, you will:
- Lead a team of six sales professionals to achieve regional sales targets.
- Develop and implement sales strategies for OUP’s print, blended, and digital products.
- Support the team in achieving their individual and collective sales goals.
- Profile potential schools and ensure comprehensive market coverage.
- Mentor and guide the team in product knowledge and sales skills.
- Allocate territories, set budgets and targets, and ensure compliance with organizational policies.
- Oversee daily operations including travel, expenses, and promotional planning.
- Strategize and execute marketing and workshop plans aligned with OUP’s focus areas.
- Ensure timely collections and uninterrupted supply chains.
- Forecast regional stock requirements and maintain availability across channels.
- Analyze market trends and report insights to senior leadership.
- Uphold OUP India’s public image through ethical business practices.
Your leadership will directly impact the growth and success of the region, contributing to OUP’s broader mission of advancing learning worldwide.
About You
Essential Criteria
- A degree from a reputed institute; additional professional qualifications are preferred.
- 8–10 years of relevant work experience, with prior experience in managing or leading sales teams being advantageous.
- Strong multitasking abilities and comfort in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills across all organizational levels.
- Strong problem-solving capabilities and sound judgment.
- High integrity, dependability, and a results-oriented mindset.
